Singer IU's international fans sent her a rice wreath to celebrate her birthday on May 16th.
On this day, the rice wreaths which were delivered to LOEN's office lobby in the morning consisted of a 516kg rice wreath with the message "Happy 20th birthday, IU, WeHeartIU International Forum" as well as a 200kg rice wreath with the message "Happy birthday, cool celebrity (??) IU, LNS & IU studio", making up a total of 716kg of rice.
The 716kg of Dreame rice wreaths will be donated under IU's name to help the poorly-fed children or other needy as specified by IU. 716kg of Dreame rice will be enough to provide 6000 poorly-fed children with a meal. LOEN agency said that they would be displaying the rice wreaths at their lobby until the 20th.
Meanwhile, IU will be holding her nationwide concert tour 'Real Fantasy' in June and the title song "Every End of the Day" from her new single album, "Spring of a Twenty Year Old" took 1st place on online music charts. IU also held a me2day mobile chatting event on the 14th to communicate with her fans in line with the release of her new single album.
