IU appeared once again on this week's SBS '100 Million Quiz Show', which was broadcast live on Jan 13th.
On this day, IU gave off her unique cute charm and shared that what elementary school students wanted to do most during their winter break was to go out and play with their mums, followed by sleeping late. As for middle school students, the top choice was dieting, followed by travelling overseas.
The quiz question was then posed to everyone, "What do 3rd year high-schoolers want to do most during their winter break?" The options were "plastic surgery", "part-time job" and "travelling overseas".
The correct answer was "part-time job".
SBS '100 Million Quiz Show' is the first quiz show in the world that you can text your answers to the show and be able to win a cash prize of 100 million won.

IU made a special appearance on the first official episode of SBS '100 Million Quiz Show' broadcasted live on Jan 6th.
During the 3rd round of quiz questions, IU appeared on the screen to give everyone the questions and 10 of the people who answered correctly received 1 million won each. (Note: I'm guessing there were 10 rounds in total which makes up the 100 million.)
IU said, "Saengseon is short for birthday (saengil) present (seonmul). Also, munsang is short for culture (munhwa) gift certificate (sangpumkwon). Then, out of the following options, which item is related to 'beokachung'? 1. A book of tickets 2. Straw 3. Medicine for stomach ache."
The audience was given 3 minutes to text their answers to the number provided. After which, IU announced, "The correct answer is no. 1. You have to top up your bus card (beoseukadeuchungjeon) to travel, so it's 'beokachung' in short.

On Jan 2nd, an SBS spokesperson said, "After the warm response from viewers during the pilot broadcast of our show on Dec 1 last year, it will have its first official broadcast on Jan 6th. This tv program will be broadcasted weekly on Friday nights at 9:55 PM."
While watching the show, viewers can text their responses to the quiz questions and out of those who answered correctly, lots will be drawn to decide the winner of the cash prize.
Through the homepage, one can apply to participate as a member of the studio audience and solve the quiz questions with MC Kim Yong man.
In the previous pilot broadcast, SNSD appeared on the show and took on the role of asking the quiz questions. During the first official broadcast, the nation's little sister, IU, will be making a special appearance to bring the viewers good luck.
A member of the production crew revealed, "Our key purpose is to continue bringing hope and happiness to everyone weekly and any profits exceeding of the cash prize will be donated to charity."
