The rankings for 2012's Top 10 upcoming idols has been released.
On MBC Everyone 'Weekly Idol', which will be broadcasted on Jan 7th, the idols themselves chose who they felt would be the rising star for 2012.
In the survey carried out among Wonder Girls, T-ara, Secret, B1A4 and other idols, the idol star who received the most votes was none other than the "nation's little sister", IU.
Secret's Song Jieun said, "I think she will become the "nation's little sister" in Japan as well". Brown Eyed Girls' Narsha also said, "She has a face that the Japanese will love too (literal translation 'will eat up')" and expressed her support for IU's Japan debut. IU's close friend, T-ara's Jiyeon, said, "I just hope everything goes smoothly. Hwaiting!"
Meanwhile, MC Jung Hyungdon made a phone call to IU and being an uncle fan, told her 'IU saranghanda', shocking those around him. The show will be broadcasted on Jan 7th at 2PM KST.
