Rather than handshake events, IU will be performing in mini-concerts for her Japanese promotions.
Having released on official Japanese debut single, "Good Day" on March 21st, IU will be holding mini-concerts in 5 Japanese cities including Tokyo (April 21), Nagoya (April 24), Sapporo (April 26), Osaka (May 2) and Fukuoka (May 3).
Usually promotion events for idols in Japan are handshake or hi-five events, however, in accordance with IU's wishes to present live performances for everyone, the mini-concerts were arranged instead.
This live tour is expected to be of the same standard as IU's Orchard Hall showcase on Jan 24th, where she performed 4 songs, "Mia", "Raindrop", "Good Day" and "Last Fantasy" live.
According to a LOEN representative, "There were suggestions for events such as handshake events, but we respected IU's views and prepared mini-concerts instead."
Unlike the girl groups in the K-pop scene recently, IU is taking a different path and finding her position through her musical abilities.
